Xiaomi’s newly launched 17 Pro series has introduced more than just powerful smartphones—it comes with a quirky accessory that blends nostalgia with innovation. A retro handheld console case, designed for both the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max, has been officially listed online, bringing classic gaming back in style.
The case, finished in a dark, skin-friendly material, attaches to the phone and mimics the look and feel of a portable gaming console. Its classic button layout allows users to enjoy licensed games like Angry Birds 2, Sky Destroyer, Furball Runner, and the timeless Snake. Unlike mobile apps, these games run independently of the smartphone, meaning they can be played offline—even in airplane mode—without advertisements or interruptions.

Powered by a 200mAh built-in battery, the case offers up to 40 days of standby time and supports charging without detaching the phone. However, while attached, the case does disable the phone’s wireless charging capability.

While the standard Xiaomi 17 and upcoming 17 Ultra are expected to launch globally, reports suggest that the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max—along with the retro gaming case—may remain exclusive to the Chinese market.
