OnePlus account services in the US are undergoing major changes as HeyTap, the platform previously powering OnePlus logins, prepares to shut down in late September. With HeyTap’s exit, OnePlus is transitioning its American users to a new, localized system that will impact community access and device apps.
For years, HeyTap handled account logins for OnePlus devices such as the OnePlus Watch and OnePlus Buds through the OHealth app. But on September 28, 2025, HeyTap will officially discontinue its U.S. services, according to emails recently sent to users.
OnePlus building new localized services for US users
Following HeyTap’s decision, OnePlus confirmed in its forums that it is working on a U.S.-specific account platform tailored to local needs. This shift means American users will no longer be able to log in or post on the global OnePlus Community forum using their existing accounts.

Instead, OnePlus will launch a dedicated U.S. Community forum and app, which will go live after September 26. At that point, U.S.-based accounts will only be able to access the new regional platform. Users outside the United States with a U.S.-registered account will need to update their account region to remain active on the global forum.
The company emphasized that this move aims to deliver a more personalized experience for its U.S. customers, though it has not provided specific updates on how the OHealth app will be affected.
As the transition unfolds, OnePlus users in the U.S. are watching closely to see how the shift from HeyTap will influence their day-to-day device experience.
